The illusion of motion with a rapid display of static images with subtle differences. Using technology to bring life to what does not exist.
Animation is a very broad subject to cover and there are different types of animation. NuArtillery can do them all:
Animation is a rapid display of a sequence of images that minimally differ from each other when presented in succession. The illusion of motion is created because each image is shown for a sufficient period to be distinguishable from the next, even though the individual images, viewed in isolation, appear identical.
This is the old school stuff. Let’s rewind to the golden age of animation. Like the Walt Disney and Hanna Babera days. Everything was done by hand. Hundreds of drawings and paintings were done to make one minute of animation.
Lots of people to this day still pay tribute to this type of animation. China and South Korea still have lots of traditional animators. This style was used in films like The Legend of Korra and The Last Airbender.
This is a more computer based type of animation. Digital footage, pictures and text are manipulated, rotated, scaled, etc to create the illusion of animation. This is made much easier by the use of really fast computers
With Most other types of animation, the animation is the story. Motion graphics seems to be more used to add depth to the story. We use them to create title sequences for movies, ads, explainer videos, etc.
Take an object, move it and then take a photo. Then move it again and take another photo. Then repeat that 12 times and you have one second of animation. This is basically the process for stop motion animation. It’s an animated film making technique where objects are physically manipulated between frames to create the illusion of movement. It’s lots of fun and looks great
This is more like playing with puppets. A character is modeled and moved and recorded. Don’t let me make it sound simple, cause this is the most expensive and time consuming type of animation of the lot.
Animation is not the art of drawings that move but the art of movements that are drawn.
We can use animation to:
Once again NuArtillery has a number of suppliers that can deliver a variety of illustration and animation styles that will fit your current brand. We will find an illustrator and an animator to fit your needs. Our process is very straight forward.
